Professional demos in a day...
One of the most important necessities of every singer/instrumentalist is to have at their disposal a good demo recording. This is useful not only as a promotional tool but it is a good way to be able to look back and see how your voice has developed. For this reason I have teamed up with Spin Studios to create several package deals which will give you the best value your money can get in the most relaxed, yet incredibly productive and professional studio in New York. David Shenton has recorded in over a dozen different studios in NYC and, in his opinion, none can compare to the value and friendliness of the team at Spin Studios.

A demo recording can be used for many purposes such as:
-
getting more bookings
-
sending to record companies
-
sending to managers and agents
-
selling them to make some money from your talent
Regardless of the reasons for making a demo, the advantages of having one are numerous. With computers and the internet advancing on a daily basis singers now have an international platform from which to promote themselves and their music.
Once you have come to the decision that you would like to make a recording there are a number of things to think about in preparation. Recording can be a very inspiring and enjoyable experience but can very quickly become stressful inhibiting productivity. If you are not relaxed when you are recording your material it will tell and you will be left unsatisfied with the outcome.
You can record as many songs as you can fit into the session! To do a good solid recording you may want to record the song 3 times and pick the best take (you can, of course, splice two tracks together, etc). Some singers record 6 to 10 songs in a 2 hour session, others only 1 or 2. It’s totally up to you. It is a good idea to rehearse once before the session or at least to get the music to David (who will be playing the piano for you) before the session.
What you will be left with is a wonderfully professional demo recording forever. Check out the package deals below. Alternately, if you have any questions or need to know more about more deals, please contact David here.
